Staff at Balfour Beatty Fleet Services, Skipton this week presented a cheque for £984 to Sue Ryder Care - Manorlands Hospice.
The total was raised through a health and safety initiative which involves Bafour Beatty putting a contribution into a charity pot each week that there are no accidents reported in the workplace. Then annually staff decide on which charity to give the charity pot to and chose Sue Ryder Care - Manorlands this time.
The cheque was presented at the Oxenhope based hospice by David Anderton, Backup Systems Manager and Patricia Taylor, Workshop Administration Clerk. Sue Ryder Care Fundraiser Andrew Wood received the cheque and expressed thanks. “Sue Ryder Care Manorlands - Hospice provides care in the Skipton area for a large number of people each year and it is great when our services are thanked by such a generous donation. We are very grateful to the staff at Balfour Beatty Fleet services, for choosing us and for looking after themselves so well in the past year.”
