2010 Charity evening a resounding success

posted 23 Feb 2010 04:15 by Kings Arms Angling - Sandy   [ updated 21 hours ago ]
Early indications are that the event raised an astounding £4000 for Sue Ryder Care held at The Holiday Inn Garden Court, in Sandy on 22nd February 2010

Martin Bowler gave another outstanding presentation on how to catch the impossible. His love for angling just inspires people to get out there and do it too. And of course it was great to see and hear John Wilson engaged with the audience with his passion for the sport and encourage anglers to become more vocal in what they want from our UK waterways.  Feedback from those who attended is highly positive and everyone - even the non-fishing partners -  thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Thanks go to special guests Martin and John, special mention to Bob Church who has been instrumental in all of these events from the onset. Thanks to everyone who has donated prizes and auction items, and a huge thankyou to Holiday Inn Garden Court (Sheila, Raquel, Rebecca and their staff) for providing the venue and Aardvark Business Supplies Ltd for printing the posters. Thanks also to all members of the KAAC who helped put the event together (especially to Graham who project managed and organised this event throughout) .

Thanks also to everyone who bought tickets and supported the event.  We hope all that attended had a good evening and liked the goodie bag on the way out courtesy of our main sponsors Enterprise Tackle.  A few more pictures from the evening follow:
