The fundraising team at Sue Ryder Care - Manorlands Hospice report back from a murder mystery fundraiser:
The entertainment at what was the Oakworth-on-Sea Home Guard re-union dinner was provided by professional Riddlesden based group ‘Dial M for Murder’ and followed by a ‘boogie in the bunker’ disco with DJ Abdul. A large proportion of the 200 guests turned out in 1950’s style dress which made for a great atmosphere.
One of the many highlights of the evening was the Shepherd’s pie supper which had been prepared by a team of staff at Bradford and Bingley. Manorlands Fundraiser Andrew Wood was delighted with the amount raised and the very positive feedback there has been following the event.
“There was a few people a bit dubious about eating a pie prepared by a team of bankers but it was absolutely delicious and most guests went back for a second helping. We would like to thank the staff at Bradford and Bingley, Alfe’s restaurant for providing the sweets, Ingrow Prim
