Sue Ryder Care is giving golfers the fantastic opportunity to play on Celtic Manor's spectacular Twenty Ten course just weeks before the giants of Europe and the USA battle it out at the Ryder Cup 2010.
36 qualifying players and a playing partner of their choice will win a place at the Sue Ryder Care Cup final on 31 August 2010. A place in the final includes a light breakfast, a day of competition golf, post competition refreshments and awards ceremony. To win your place at the final simply enter a qualifying score between the 1 September 2009 and 31 July 2010.
Michael Kean, from Holytown, qualified for the final of the Sue Ryder Care Cup 2009 with a score of 39 points. He took friend and golfing buddy, Terry Lafferty as his partner and together they brought home the Sue Ryder Care Cup 2009 with a betterball stableford score of 40.
Michael said, "Terry and I had a fantastic day at Celtic Manor, we met some wonderful people on the day and also played the challenging Twenty Ten course which will host the forthcoming Ryder Cup. If you take the time to enter you will not only have the chance to play at Celtic Manor, you will also benefit a very worthwhile charity. It's not only you who win, Sue Ryder Care also wins."

Supplementary instructions for Medal Competitions
Although the Sue Ryder Care Cup is based upon the Stableford system, Medal Competitions can also be used as follows:
At the completion of the round, the Stableford Nett and Points should be added to the right of the Medal Scores in the normal way. Thus, the Stableford Points can be established as the basis for the SRC Cup Entry.
Competition Organisers should note however that due to the possibility of nett Triple Bogey's or higher, the best 3 cards in the Medal Competition may not be the best 3 Stableford scores. Similarly, a 'No-Return' on one or more holes would not in themselves invalidate the player from the SRC Cup, even though their Medal round would be over.
