Our Homecare

Nurse with man in garden

We provide care and social support in the community for people living with physical disability, neurological conditions and conditions associated with older age.

We provide personal care such as washing, dressing, moving and handling. We prompt people to take their medication and carry out a range of domestic tasks to help people thrive and remain independent in their own homes and in the community.

Who provides care at home?

Sue Ryder Care Homecare employs around 600 staff and provides 13,000 hours of care each week.

We are careful to achieve a match between our carer and people in our care and we strive to achieve continuity, so that they can expect a familiar face.

Our carers are trained to NVQII,  receive moving and handling training, medication training and training in a range of topics including palliative care, dementia care, AIDS / HIV awareness, lone working.

Where are we based?

Our homecare services are based in both rural and urban areas, we work in inner city environments, with diverse populations and in remote and isolated communities.
