Retail Campaigns

Spring BOBBSpring BOBB

In line with government recommendations for retailers to reduce plastic bag usage by 25% by the end of 2008 - and in time eliminate single use plastic bags altogether – we have introduced a new addition to our BOBB range of environmentally friendly bags.

Following on from the success of our award-winning ‘Bring Our Bag Back’ reusable bag campaign in November 2007, we have extended our range of environmentally friendly bags to include a multi-use, durable plastic bag as well as its natural fibre jute bags.

Called Spring BOBB, the durable plastic bag is a cheaper alternative to our jute reusable bags yet can still be re-used time and time again. Through encouraging shoppers to purchase reusable BOBB bags, we aim to discontinue the offering of free single use plastic bags by 2009.

The Great Pan AmnestyThe Great Pan Amnesty

We have teamed up with quality cookware specialists, The Professional Cookware Company, to raise funds from old saucepans.

Through the 'Great Pan Amnesty', the Professional Cookware Company will urge the nation to exchange its old saucepans for a 10% discount of the company’s new ProCook collection of pan sets and separates.  All saucepans received from people across the country will then be donated to us to sell through our shops or to recycle.

Kim and Aggie urge the nation to spring clean

We have teamed up with the nation’s favourite ‘Queens of Clean’ - Kim and Aggie from Channel 4’s ‘How Clean is Your House’ to urge people to spring clean their homes and donate unwanted items to Sue Ryder Care shops.
