Terms and Conditions

• Anyone aged 18 or over on 2 June 2008 and resident in the UK.

• Qualification for entry is a completed 18-hole round of golf played not earlier than 2 June 2008 and not later than 9th January 2009 in a counting competition.

• The round must be played using the stableford scoring system. The course standard scratch will be used for evaluating the top 36 scores.

• Signed scorecards must be received by Sue Ryder Care within 7 days of play together with your payment of £10. There is no limit on the number of scorecards that can be submitted. Sue Ryder Care will acknowledge receipt. Scorecards cards received after the 7 day period will not be accepted and the payment will not be processed.

• Entrants agree to make themselves available on 23 April 2009 for the Sue Ryder Care Cup final from 1pm to 10.30pm. • Sue Ryder Care will contact the top 36 scorers by 30 January 2009* and invite them and a guest to take part in the Sue Ryder Care Cup final on 23rd April 2009 at Celtic Manor, Cardiff, Wales. The contestants and their guests will be able to take part in pre-competition activities and be able to play on the Twenty Ten Ryder Cup course. Lunch, dinner, bed and breakfast will be provided at Celtic Manor.

• In the case of tied scores a ballot will take place. Sue Ryder Care’s decision will be final.

• Entrants must adhere to directions for play given by Sue Ryder Care and Celtic Manor before and during the Sue Ryder Care Cup final.

• Sue Ryder Care reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone it deems unsuitable or unable to adhere to Celtic Manor’s rules and etiquette and its decision is final.

• In adverse weather conditions, play may be cancelled or delayed.

• Sue Ryder Care does not accept any liability for loss or damage to property belonging to an entrant or any liability for injury or loss to such extent as permitted under the law of England and Wales.

• Contestants selected to go through to the final will need to supply proof of their handicaps to Sue Ryder Care. Note: warranted PGA professional or club secretary’s certificate or a CONGU certificate are acceptable.

* Names of the 36 finalists will be available on our website from the 30 January 2009, or a list may be obtained by sending a SAE to Sue Ryder Care Cup, 114-118 Southampton Row, London, WC1B 5AA.
